Paris Restroom Finder

Find free public restrooms, department store bathrooms, and accessible toilets across Paris — on one interactive map.

What this app does

Paris Restroom Finder helps travelers and locals quickly find a clean, available restroom anywhere in Paris. Our crowd-verified map covers free public sanisettes, department store toilets (Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, BHV, Le Bon Marché), museum lobbies, train stations, parks, and large retail stores.

Why we built it

Paris has hundreds of free restrooms — but they are scattered across municipal websites, store directories, and out-of-date guidebooks. Visitors waste time, money, and comfort searching. We pulled the data into one map, added access notes (free, customer-only, accessible, baby-changing), and let users submit corrections so it stays current.

Categories of restrooms on the map

  • Public sanisettes — the free self-cleaning toilets operated by the City of Paris.
  • Department stores — large stores where restrooms are open to all visitors.
  • Train stations & transit hubs — Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon, Gare Saint-Lazare and others.
  • Museums & cultural sites — accessible without a ticket in many lobby areas.
  • Parks & gardens — Luxembourg, Tuileries, Buttes-Chaumont and more.

How to use it

Open the map, allow location access, and the nearest restrooms appear with walking distance, accessibility info, and opening hours when known. Tap a pin for details, or use the filter bar to narrow by access type. Found something wrong? Use the submit button to report it — every edit is reviewed before going live.
